Sometimes you gotta answer to a higher calling. To do so, you will step up. Level up. Man up. This isn’t just about a man’s place to protect women. No, that frame of mind comes from an old system of values that propagates old double standards set for men and women. Men teach their sons to be sluts and their daughters to be virgins.
Yea how’s that worked for society thus far? Well, it’s created entitlement among men that they can do whatever the fuck they want to women, while at the same time “protecting” women. And then we created a patriarchal society that actually protects the men doing harm to women!
“Men” – the universe is calling you out on your bullshit.
That’s why some got stuck with their current lessons and challenges, unable to see beyond them. You were given the chance to rise above, but did you settle into the same old social conditioning? Did you accept the double standards as truth?
Not everybody did.
And the rest of the world is awakening.
Blunt Force Truth: It is not a man’s job to protect women. But you can be there for women, to support them, unconditionally love them, and to make them feel safe and protected. Safe and protected to express themselves. To feel their emotions and express their desires without fear of judgment. Without fear of a man’s expectations. And without fear of physical, emotional, and mental abuse.
Men aren’t here to protect, yet if we listen, that’s all we ever had to do to create that safe, protected space.
Men are here to teach our generations coming forth, not to fall into the same patterns of the past, but to forge ahead, respecting women as our leaders in bringing forth our natural divine powers. To teach that we are not just animistic urges–that men have heart.
We are here to create space for enlightenment, transformation, and healing.
We are here to empower women.
We are here to love women. As with ourselves.
If you can’t do that, then it’s never too late to learn. But you’re gonna learn the hard way without first loving yourself.
Because really, could any double standard set by patriarchal rule that makes one sex superior ever really have come from a place of self-love? No, it came from self-pity and hatred. It is a projection of man’s weakness into the women in such a way for him to appear dominating. Machismo is the outward projection of weakness.
Creating safe protected space is the outward projection of love.
