Whenever someone tries to dispel your beliefs based on the absence of proof in the name of “science,” just kindly respond: Well, there’s no evidence of dark matter either, yet here we are. 😉
You see, science doesn’t disprove unless there’s even more evidence to overturn a fact. And scientists are able to predict the existence of something based only on circumstantial evidence (the effects something has on things we can observe), like how dark matter affects gravity.
Really good science can even make predictions through calculations that accurately show that something should be present. Like Planet 9. Or the fifth force of nature. And dark energy.
Then scientists find ways to observe.
So if one hasn’t done the up front work, how can one possibly even refute something they know nothing about?
Keep sciencing.
