Here’s one of my favorite ways the ego serves positively: While you might associate ego with negative self talk, it’s kinda funny that the ego has a hard time admitting when there are areas of yourself you don’t love as much.
Because the ego wants to love yourself too!
This can be a problem if it presents a resistance to working on loving yourself. “But I already do love myself,” the ego will tell you. “I don’t need to work on that.” The ego gives excuses…
And that’s perfectly ok.
The ego just doesn’t want to admit there are still some areas not in complete alignment that can be shifted into loving yourself even more. That’s all it is. So check this out:
S/he will still do the work with you because s/he is part of you.
When you find areas of yourself to fine-tune that self-loving alignment, you’ll see it in areas of life where you react. Misaligned values will attract energies that show you when that value was crossed–by reactions of anger, fear, sadness, guilt, or shame. Or other lower vibrations.
And that’s just it–those vibrations are only present to help you identify areas to love yourself more.
So ask the ego then, is it ok to transmute these feelings into even more love and happiness, in new empowering ways?
That’s how you create alignment.
And that’s how you love yourself further.
