There’s one mistake I’ve seen just about every coach, mentor, and influencer repeat. They don’t repeat the mistake though. They’re repeating what they say that instills a limitation in their audience…
“You can’t do it alone.”
Is that really empowering?
They are onto something if people push away help due to ‘ultra-independence,’ because it could be helpful for them to learn to reach out…
But what about people who are open to receiving help and building their support structure that just aren’t that far along yet? I think we need to recognize that not everyone is alone because of ultra-Independence. Sometimes it’s just what we go through, and that’s ok.
Wherever we are at the time, that’s ok.
Recognize what someone’s going through to help them do the best they can with what they have at the time. And you’ll see that not only can it be done alone, but sometimes that’s just the beginning of building an empire, and even taking small steps toward that will make huge progress.
So trust the process.
And stop disempowering people just for being alone.
