Blunt Force Truth: Healing yourself is not about changing yourself. Healing is accepting yourself and your flaws, shortcomings, and everything you’re critical of. Self healing is about self acceptance. Do that and everything else falls into place.

That doesn’t come easy (unless it does).

Maybe something to heal could be about not being loved in the way that you love another. No, it’s not the other person’s fault. And no, that doesn’t mean there’s something you have to change.

There’s three things this tells you:

First and foremost, everyone loves at the absolute best capacity they can based on their ability and resources at the time. People don’t always have the fullest emotional resources, yet they will do their best. That right there changes the picture, right?

Second, what you are seeing from others is a reflection FOR you. Don’t expect others to love the way you do. Question the results you get and what is reflected back to you. Maybe you like it. Maybe you don’t.

Third, accept what is. This and only this is what allows you to move through it, no matter how fucking hard it seems. Because now, you’re not telling yourself you need to change for something to happen. Acceptance of the things that hurt allow you to sit with it. To give it a voice and honestly, just listen. This allows it to rise up naturally, and once you understand the lesson, the emotional charge is transcended.

And accepting is not about doing one thing in order for something to happen. That takes you out of the present moment. Accepting means that whatever’s going to happen is going to happen naturally, and now you are open to it. You are just witnessing, after all.

Thank you it is done it is done it is done.
