If there are homeless people near you, then they are not a “problem,” they are, in fact, your neighbors.

How does that change things? What if we could view things differently?

How does it change things if we stop calling everyfuckingthing a crisis?

Have you ever notice how certain words are used to describe things in order to manipulate the way you think about them? It’s not a homeless crisis, it’s a neighbor you can give compassion to. But if people keep insisting it’s a “problem,” they perhaps it is they who are a problem.

Change the way you see things first, and you’ll be better equipped to do something about it.
