Blunt Force Truth: Complaining is a way of giving your power to something. Whatever it is people complain about is what keeps that active in their own field of awareness.
The subconscious mind just wants to find more of what you focus on.
So by complaining, people attract even more of what they don’t want.
Wanna know how to change the habit of complaining? Awareness is always the first step. I became aware of this, even after this download started to come through. I was driving to the grocery store when it started. And then inside the store, being mindful of other people and social distancing, I was walking behind someone. I was staying far enough behind her and then a guy from behind comes right by me, cutting me off, and then stopping in front of me and with his cart all the way to the right, he reaches all the way to the left to open a door, blocking my entire way! Some people may not have much of a concept of what goes on outside their world.
The whole time this was happening and in my head I was complaining about the person who could only think of himself (that could be a metaphor for me too, at times), I was observing the outflow if energy I was freely giving to the situation.
The way to take back energy is to reverse the circuit, so instead of complaining, express gratitude. I’m glad that situation confirmed this download I was getting. And thankful for quarantinie-inspired vanilla ice cream-maple syrup waffles. Maple and vanilla has become my new go to combination.
