There’s no difference in some facts between evolution and creation when you realize the time frames are different. Cats are cats and dogs are dogs, yes, but only if you limit yourself to the timeframe in which that is true. That’s why arguing facts is meaningless when people are on completely different frames of reference. Instead, learn to speak into another’s map of reality, understanding the processes underlying their behaviors. As with your own.
You see, there is a human way of thinking that wants things to stay the same.
We want things to not change when things are good. This is to be human. But no matter how hard we try to keep things the same, or even to try to put things back the way they once were, we just can’t. It’s spending energy to resist the inevitable…
Because change is inevitable.
Things aren’t static. Unless you limit the timeframe. But even in the lifetime of humans, we all start small, grow big, and grow old. We all shit our pants at some point of life, and we all die in the end.
No matter how much we want to be a certain version of ourselves, we are always changing.
You might not see it if you only see a day of your growth though, would you?
But when you look back, you can see how you’ve changed, can’t you?
What if you applied that to your view of this world? You wouldn’t see much change in just a few thousand years, but as you expand upon that, you see just how far we’ve come to be exactly where we are. With cats and dogs too!
And understanding gradual change, we can also see with an expanded viewpoint how the climate’s natural cycles have changed over time just since the dawn of the industrial age. Because now you’ve transcended your fear of seeing change in the world. Everything’s changing, and that’s ok. We are just working on getting a better understanding of it.
Even in short term, we can see how wanting things to be static is altering people’s perception of a global pandemic. If we look at just what’s happened and compare numbers, it didn’t start looking like other leading causes of death at first.
Although with an expanded viewpoint transcendent of resistance now, you can clearly see its trend is accelerating faster than the others.
That’s what people are blocking themselves from seeing when fear limits their viewpoint.
They’re not denying facts. And they’re not the enemy of truth. They simply limit their viewpoint as a result of human bias. As we all do from time to time.
