At the crossroads of who I used to be and my transformation, I faced a difficult (yet not so difficult) choice: to go back to the way I once was or to embrace the unknown. Turns out it was scarier for me to go back to the way I once was than to just change.
I knew I couldn’t go back to the way things were. They just weren’t working.
Embracing change was less scary than going back to old ways, and change is one of the biggest things people fear.
And having been through change and recognizing the signs, now I see it everywhere in this beautiful world. Old social and economic systems are struggling to hold on even though they just aren’t working. Systems of corruption and control are holding on, keeping the people down to resist change. To resist change. Because they’re afraid.
That’s what’s happening in a global scale today. Old systems are no longer working. Together we’re creating new ways and ousting corruption and control.
We are embracing a bold new world with love.
So fuck normal. Our values are shaking things up and breaking down barriers.
And even in the midst of chaos, it’s still not as scary as that which we once thought was normal.
