Blunt Force Truth: A person can only love another as much as they love themselves. And when they do love themselves uninhibited, a person will love another as much as they love themselves.

The choice is yours: to limit yourself, limiting your love, or unlimit yourself by loving yourself.

Sounds like a no-brainer. Who wants to be limited in how much they love?

That’s the catch!

Because people define how they love from early childhood when they were learning how to be loved. Children equate other emotions and feelings with love. A child gets hurt and a parent comes to love them. And just like that a limiting decision has been made and will be followed until that person becomes aware.

So people don’t know they’re limiting themselves until they become aware of their limitations.

That’s why it’s so important to love yourself. Because now you’re taking inventory of your beliefs, behaviors, and actions and owning everything, not just the good, but the shit that’s hard to deal with. It’s there because it was gaining something, like love, otherwise it wouldn’t need to be there in the first place, wouldn’t it?

Loving yourself illuminates your darkness.

And that’s how you unlimit yourself.

And when you are unlimited, so is the love you so freely give.
