You don’t always need a reason to cry. You’re just moving energy. So do it! You don’t have to apologize for crying. You don’t need permission. You don’t have to reason it, and others don’t even need to understand why. It just is. There’s no need to validate it. Even if others around you aren’t comfortable, asking you what’s wrong or telling you not to cry, do it anyway. They’re just uncomfortable with you being uncomfortable. Let them work through their own discomfort–because it sure as shit ain’t yours! Do it anyway. Because maybe, just maybe, those tears are the physical confirmation from your nervous system that something has been processed and let go of–for good! What better way to represent flow than with actual tears, right?
