Blunt Force Truth: You’ve been brainwashed. We all have, by our own doing, and it’s not a conspiracy! It’s the mindset of polarization. Duality. Choose sides. Home or away. Christian or other. “Blue” or “red.” You’re on one side or the other. For example, Parkland shooting survivors protest for the value of their lives. Yet because they don’t want to be shot, some may want you to think they’re against your 2nd amendment right. Even if they’re not. And social media uses algorithms to track your political views to target you with ads accordingly. So what you see is a polarized version cloaked in bias for “blue” or “red.” Both are designed to manipulate you. That’s what was happening in the election and long before (and it’s legal). It was only newsworthy because Russian hackers were blamed. They got their data from a British company that stole personal data from Facebook. But it’s the Russians’ fault, right? Riiiiiiight. That was a distraction because the fraud happened on BOTH “sides” of the election. But if we see through this veil of illusion, how will we be told what to think? That’s where YOU have power over misinformation. You get to choose to see beyond duality. You can see that everyone does the best they can with the resources they have at the time. YOU get to love your challenges! Do that. Because you have power over your social conditioning.
