Anyone can have a fucked up past. The question then becomes, are you able to let go? Are you able to accept someone’s present situation without judgment clouding your vision? Part of everyone’s journey is learning lessons and letting go of their past. If someone is in this process, what good would it do to take them out of the present? And where else has this shown up in your life? Is it a reflection of how you haven’t let yourself learn from and let go of your own past? Then now’s the time to do so. Because nothing exists outside of this present moment. Nothing. The question you should be asking is right now, can someone be trusted regardless of their past? If they have let go of their past, the chances are good. If you haven’t then you might be repeating the past. That’s what happens when you hide it. The next step is to own it. Release that shit! The past has passed in such a way to deliver you to the now, with a greater understanding of who you really are. When you acknowledge how the past served you, then you are no longer bound to it. In other words, get the lesson and move the fuck on.
