What if I told you that you can stop placing yourself in victim mode and instead, write yourself into your own story as your own personal hero?
You can.
You’re welcome.
And what if I told you that you can also transcend the hero simply by being aware of the fact that you don’t need saving?
You don’t have to be the victim or the hero.
Instead of saying ‘I had to’ or ‘I did this for you,’ just take personal responsibility for what you did and how it made you feel. Instead of needing retribution, validation, or justification for how you felt, what if you could simply allow yourself to feel? Witness it. Let the feelings flow. Put em on a movie reel so you can just let them play while you watch and eat popcorn. All they want is to be observed–not made out to victimize you–and not to save you either.
Now you’re ready to write your own script!
=D
So the other day I was at a meeting and one of the gals said with sorrow that sometimes God makes it rain on your life. I remembered your message and told her, yes, He does, but you have the free will to decide whether to carry an umbrella or get wet. We all laughed. Thanks. We can ALWAYS choose our response to our circumstances. Bravo to you for reminding me of this in so many ways.
